Optional Events
There are seven optional events in the Labrador Winter Games. These events represent some of the newer sports that have taken hold throughout the communities of Labrador. Many of the optional events are indoor sports played in community halls and school gyms to help stay active on those especially cold Labrador winter days.
Communities competing for the Labrador Cup must compete in at least four of these events in order to be eligible for the Cup.

Arena Ball Hockey
For all the stick-handlers out there, this is your event! No checking allowed.
Darts
Everyone in Labrador plays darts. Here's a great chance to see some great competition between very skilled players.
Snowmobile Race
Don't blink! These racers are givin'er.
Dog Team Race
One of the most traditional events of these whole Games. Labrador as we know it was built on the backs of dog teams running throughout this Big Land.
Volleyball
There are some extremely talented volleyball players in Labrador. Come out and take a look at the next big stars!
Table Tennis
Ping, pong. Do you prefer the slice or the power shot?
Badminton
The fine art of badminton. Every shot so precise and planned.
